Should there be any citation in my intro or conclusion paragraphs?

The APA guidelines do not require or prohibit citations in an introduction or conclusion, so the choice is up to you.
- The APA Help guide shows a Sample Paper which has citations in the introduction, but that does not mean they are required.
- Those paper sections function just like the other parts of your paper. Any information that is not your own within your introduction & conclusion should be cited.
- For example, if you use a startling statistic to grab your reader's attention, you need to let the reader know where you found that information.
