When do you put a table of contents in an APA style paper?
An APA style paper does not require a table of contents. Your instructor may ask that you include one or you may decide that your paper works best when you include a table of contents. There is not an required format for including a table of contents in APA style, but Microsoft Word can create a suitable table of contents using the headings from your paper.This tool is located on the References tab.
The table of contents should go immediately after the title page and before the abstract. If your instructor does not require you to write an abstract, the table of contents goes immediately before the body of your paper.
