What is Monetary Theory?
Thank you for your question about monetary theory.
To find a definition and/or in-depth explanation of monetary theory, run a search in the following database. To get to the database page, start at the library home page, www.baker.edu/library, and click on Find Articles & Databases. Then click on the Books/eBooks category. Off-campus, you will need the 14-digit library number from your Baker ID or Contact Information page in SOLAR.
- Gale Virtual Reference Library: Contains a paragraph-long entry from the Gale Encyclopedia of U.S. Economic History (which also briefly describes the Federal Reserve) as well as a very in-depth explanation from the International Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences.
If you would like articles on this topic, try a search such as "monetary theory" and "Federal Reserve" in a database such as Business Source Complete (EBSCO) (found under the Business category) or Wall Street Journal (ProQuest) (found under the News and Current Events category).
