How can I find medical journals to find word parts to break down?
Thank you for your question about finding medical journal articles.
Start at the Online Resources - Subject List and click on the Medical category. Some databases for journal articles include:
- Nursing and Allied Health Source (ProQuest)
- Health Reference Center Academic (InfoTrac) (Click on Advanced and then check the box by Peer Reviewed Journals)
(Off-campus, you will need the 14-digit library number from your Baker ID or Contact Information page in SOLAR.)
Helpful hint: Once you get to the database, type in the name of a disease that interests you. Each database also has a check box that will limit to "Peer-reviewed" or "Scholarly" journals. Checking this box will narrow your results to get journal articles.
To find a medical dictionary, click on Health & Wellness Resource Center (Gale) and click on Dictionary at the top.
If you need additional assistance, please contact your Campus Librarians.
