How can I find medical journals to find word parts to break down?
Thank you for your question about finding medical journal articles.
Start at the Online Resources and click on the Health Sciences category. Some databases for journal articles include:
- Nursing and Allied Health Source (ProQuest)
- Health Reference Center Academic (InfoTrac) (Click on Advanced and then check the box by Peer Reviewed Journals)
(Off-campus, you will need the 14-digit library number from your Baker ID or on the Login Assistance page in MyBaker.)
Helpful hint: Once you get to the database, type in the name of a disease that interests you. Each database also has a check box that will limit to "Peer-reviewed" or "Scholarly" journals. Checking this box will narrow your results to get journal articles.
To find a medical dictionary, click on Health & Wellness Resource Center (Gale) and click on Dictionary at the top.
If you need additional assistance, please contact your campus Academic Resource Center.
