Q

Where is my Baker email?

When I click on BakerMail, it takes me to my own gmail account. I have a password and everything. I know my email address, but I do not see where I can access it, so I can see my inbox and whatnot.

Answer

Thanks for your question. There are two options for accessing your Baker Gmail when you are in your personal Gmail:

  • To access both accounts simultaneously and flip back and forth between them - when you are in your personal Gmail, at the top right of your screen, click on the small picture of you (or the blue circle) and that will expand to show a link called Add account.  Click on Add account, and you will see another Gmail login screen.  For your Baker Gmail, you must enter your full e-mail address using XXXXX@baker.edu, and your Baker password.

  • When using Baker Gmail, you may want to first log out of your personal Gmail account - by clicking on the picture of you in the upper right hand corner of the page and selecting Sign out.  Then you can log into your Baker Gmail. (If the password saving feature is enabled on your device, and your device has been set to recognize your personal account as your primary Gmail account, it may not let you log out. In that case, use the Add account option.).

Help is available for using Baker Gmail, and other Google apps at http://google.baker.edu/.
