How do you double space a Blackboard post?
Since Baker updated Blackboard, the method of double spacing a post has changed, but the method for doing so is now the same for Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer.
To make your Blackboard posts double spaced, you can either:
a) Type your post out into a Word document, format it accordingly, and then copy-and-paste it into Blackboard,
b) Adjust the CSS settings of your Blackboard post to make it double spaced.
To properly adjust the CSS settings, begin by highlighting the text with your mouse in the editor that you want double spaced:
Then click on the CSS button in the Blackboard menu bar:
A new window will appear. Where it says Line Height, there will be two drop-down menus. In the first drop-down menu, your options will be Normal or (Value).
Select (Value). In the now blank box enter the number 2. In the drop-down menu next to it, select Ems.
Your selections should look like this:
Click Apply and then on the lower right side of the window click Update. You will see a change in the spacing in the editing view, and then you will have a nicely double spaced post after you click the Submit button:
