Q. Can I get a book from outside of Michigan?

Answer

Yes, you may order books from out-of-state libraries by submitting a Request Materials from other Libraries form.

Requests will normally be processed within one business day. Materials will be supplied as and when the lending library supplies us. This could be anywhere from 5-7 business days. Articles may arrive more quickly than books. It is important to specify the date needed by field in the request, so that the campus librarians could watch out for your materials and alert you if there is a possible delay.

Before submitting an ILL (Interlibrary Loan) request, ensure that you have exhausted all the options with Baker library resources. Request materials from other libraries only when it absolutely necessary. Better consult a librarian before submitting ILL requests. We may be able to show you ways to get to information right away: no waiting period!!
