How can I find articles in online magazines that show graphs?

Answer

Since many articles contain graphs, the starting point depends on your topic.

Starting at the library's home page, https://guides.baker.edu/libraryresources.  For databases that cover a wide variety of topics, choose the General/Interdisciplinary category.  If you are interested in using a subject-specific database, choose one of the other subject categories.  Most of the InfoTrac databases have the search feature discussed below.

To find an article with a graph:

  • Start in General OneFile (InfoTrac).
  • Click on Advanced
  • Type in your topic, then scroll down to the limiting options to "By Document Type."
  • There is an option that allows you to limit to articles with graphs.
  • Click on "Graph" and then Search.
