Q. How can I locate sources on losing weight?

My three main topics are work out plan, determination, and eating habits. I want resources to support each of these topics.

Answer

For books or ebooks, search the Book Catalog for the subject: Weight Loss. To get to the book catalog, start at the Library Home Page (http://guides.baker.edu/onlineresources), and click on Find Books.

For articles, start at the Library Home Page (http://guides.baker.edu/onlineresources), click on Find Articles & Databases, and click on General/Interdisciplinary. Try a database such as General OneFile (InfoTrac).  If you are off-campus you will need to use your 14 digit Library Card number, which can be found on your ID Card or in SOLAR.  Click on the link near the top that says "Browse Subjects".  Type in Weight Loss.  This is the main subject heading, and there are over 17,000 articles about it.  To narrow your search, click the plus sign next to "View Subdivisions".  Some sub-headings include Planning, Psychological Aspects, and Personal Narratives.  Try these and browse through the results.

Here are some other databases you may try:

For web resources, search http://www.ipl.org, the Internet Public Library, for Weight Loss.
