Q. What are the categories of call letters?

The Baker College libraries use the Library of Congress Classification system to organize our books. Unlike the Dewey Decimal system, the Library of Congress system uses letters as well as numbers to categorize books. To see an outline of the subjects each letter stands for, visit http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/lcco/. This will give you an idea of where to look for books in the library on a certain topic.

An example of a possible Library of Congress call number is: QP81.5 .G46 2015.
