Q. How does an employee benefits strategy look?

I am in a Human Resources class and I am assigned to make a fake employee benefits strategy for our made up company. I don't know what this looks like and what is included in this strategy.

Answer

Your benefit strategy will look like a standard document with sections outlining what benefits your fake company will be giving to your made up employees such as:

  • Wages
  • Retirement
  • Medical, Vision, Dental
  • Stock Shares in the Company
  • Company Car, Bonuses
  • Vacation time

In addition to deciding which fake benefits your fake employees will be getting, you should probably think about how the company is going to be able to afford the benefits you choose. This is where the strategy part plays in. While it would be lovely to be able to offer your employees all of the things listed above, your new fake company probably can't afford it.
