I need to find data for southeast Michigan about race, income level, education level, language spoken in home etc.

Answer

To access census data for counties and cities in southeast Michigan, visit http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/index.html or http://factfinder2.census.gov/.

For additional data, try the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, http://www.semcog.org/.  If you scroll over Data and Maps, you can browse information By Subject or By Community.
