Q. How do I format the table of contents?

Answer

To format a Table of Contents, follow the general guidelines for an APA paper:

  • Start a new page
  • Use title Table of Contents 
  • Change font: Times New Roman 12pt
  • APA does not have specific guidelines for a Table of Contents, other than to follow the general formatting on the sample paper.

Helpful hint:  You can create a table of contents in Microsoft Word. Click on References, then click on Table of Contents.
