How do I cite a library database on the References page?

Answer

According to the Works from academic research databases section of the Database Information in References page on the APA Style Blog,

"Do not include database information for works obtained from most academic research databases or platforms because works in these resources are widely available."

So, to cite an article from a library database on the References page, use the following format:

Last Name, First & Middle Initials. (Date). Title of article: Subtitle of article. Title of Source, Volume(Issue), Page numbers.

Example:

Hahn-Markowitz, J., Manor, I., & Maeir, A. (2019). Effectiveness of cognitive-functional (cog-fun) intervention with children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: A pilot study. The American Journal of Occupational Therapy, 65(4), 384-392.
