Q. How can I include tables in a case study in APA format?
Answer
To include and cite a table in APA format:
- First give it a number (example: Table 1)
- Include this information with the title of the table at the top.
- Below the table, add a note with the complete citation information for the source where you found the table.
The citation information should look something like this:
Note. Adapted from "Sampling and Recruitment in Studies of Cultural Influences on Adjustment: A Case Study With Mexican Americans," by M. W. Roosa, F. F. Liu, M. Torres, N. A. Gonzales, G. P. Knight, and D. Saenz, 2014, Journal of Family Psychology, 22, p. 300.
If your table has abbreviations, you will want to include a note specifying the meaning of these as well.
