Q. I need help to figure out a topic to research for my paper

Answer

When deciding on a topic for your paper, think of an issue that interests you.  Is there something a family member or friend is dealing with that would intrigue you?  Try the Opposing Viewpoints database to find some topics.

For articles, check the databases below. To get to the Find Articles and Databases page, start at the Library Home Page, click on Find Articles & Databases, and click on English. If you are off-campus you will need to use your 14 digit Library Card number, which can be found on your ID Card or in SOLAR.

Helpful hint:  Click on Browse Issues (toward the top of the page next to Home) in Opposing Viewpoints to see a list of topics.

For more resources, check the Pro and Con Research Guide. To get to the Research Guides, start at the Library Home Page and click on Research Guides.

Thank you for using ASK US. For more information contact your campus librarians.
