Q. How do I cite the Bible?

Answer

References to classical works, such as the Bible, do not need to appear on your References page.  Do cite the Bible in-text following the example below.

Since the parts of these classical works are systematically numbered, the only differentiating factor is the various versions/translations.  Mention which version you used in the first citation of the text.  You do not need to identify the version in subsequent citations unless you switch versions.

Example: (Romans 1:27 New International Version).
