Q. How do I do a document citation with no page number?

Here's how to cite a reference that does not have a page number:

  • In APA, use a paragraph number whenever a page number is not available.
  • Furthermore, use a section heading (if available) and then include the number of the paragraph in the given section, such as-Discussion section, para. 1-after listing the author and year in the text.
  • You can also give the author and year followed by a comma, then in quotations give the name of the section heading.

(Flores, Hickenlooper, & Saxton, 2016, para. 5).

(Golan, Kuchler, & Krissof, 2015, “Mandatory Labeling Has Targeted,” para. 4).

The References page does not include paragraph numbers.
