How does Baker College generate a different username for each student? What do the last two digits at the end of the username represent?

Answer

Baker College usernames are generated by:

  • Using the student's first initial and five letters of their last name.
  • The two digits at the end represent how many other people have that same letter combination.
  • For example, Jen Smith may have a high number as her name is more common, example: jsmith53
  • Whereas, an uncommon name would have a lower number, e.g. Francois Albuquerque, falbuq01
