Q. I need to learn how to write in third person.

Writing in third-person means using he, she, it or they, but never I, we, or you.

Students should use the third person most of the time when writing an APA style paper because it helps the reader focus on the content and evidence of the topic rather than on your personal experience.

The Online Writing Lab has a lot of very specific tips about writing - just use its search function.  In addition, your campus may have a Writing Center where you can get more detailed help.  Click Campus Library Guides, where you will be able to find contact information to find help with writing on your campus.
