Q. What is the difference between support and development in writing?

Support and development are discussed on the Purdue Owl website:

Support means staying with your main thesis and also sticking to the main idea in each paragraph.

Development means adding details, facts, and examples to add to the main thesis of the paper.

Visit the College Composition I or College Composition II Research Guides for information to help you with writing papers.

If your campus has a Writing Center you could go there for personalized help with writing papers.
