How can I find full-text articles using Google Scholar?

Answer

You can make Google Scholar interact with Baker Library resources to access full-text articles from library holdings when free full-text is not available.

  1. https://scholar.google.com/
  2. Settings
  3. Library Links
  4. Search and find Baker College (You don't want Baker University)
  5. Select all four options
  6. Save

After you do this, any time you execute a Google Scholar search, you will see a link to the Baker Library holding. Log in with your library number to access the full article. This works very well with ProQuest and Gale. During a search session, you will have to log in with your library number just once.

To get a feel for it, use the drop-down menu to go to Advanced Search. Search for glass ceiling as the exact phrase in the title of an article. When results appear, click the Get Full-text @ Baker link. Right-click and open in a new window, so that the Scholar search screen stays intact.
