Q. How do I emphasize a sentence within a closed quote?

It is a longer quote that is being cited, but I want to emphasize the last sentence for purposes of making my point.

Answer

To emphasize part of a quote, you may italicize the desired words and then add the phrase [emphasis added] in brackets directly after the italicized words. An example of this rule can be seen here
