Q. When I include an author and his book name, do I have to italicize or underline the name of the book within the paper?

I included my example: The flat-world perspective was developed by Thomas Friedman in his 2005 best seller, The World Is Flat (Carpenter & Dunung, 2015). Thank you.

Answer

Thank you for the question about whether you italicize or underline the name of the book within the paper.

If you are writing the name of a book in your paper, you would italicize the title.  For example:

Gone With the Wind
