Q. The library database article I chose does not show the author name. Is it alright to use Anonymous?


If the author is not identified:

  • Start the citation with the article title.
  • The citation should have the following elements, in the order shown:

Article title. (date). Journal Title, volume(issue), pages. Retrieved from <name of the database>.


Article: No author

Manna for Motown; Detroit's bankruptcy. (2019, October 5). The Economist, 409(8856), 32(US). Retrieved from __________ database.
