Q. LinkSource will not accept my login and password even after I set my browser to accept cookies. How can I get in?

Students should not be prompted to log in with a username and password when using the databases.

  • To use the databases, sign in with your 14-digit library card number.
  • If you are seeing a username/password prompt, this may be caused by your antivirus software's privacy settings blocking the temporary username and password combination generated when you enter your library card number.
  • Try disabling settings in your antivirus software (they may be labeled "privacy manager" or "privacy guard") or simply disabling your antivirus software entirely while using the online databases.

If you are only experiencing this problem with LinkSource, and not when you access the databases directly, you may wish to use E-Journals A-Z (see below) to locate the database or databases containing the article(s) you are looking for, and then browse to the article directly, avoiding LinkSource.

If this does not solve the problem, then there may be a deeper issue.  In this case, contact the ARC/Library for more assistance.
