Q. How do I cite a case study I read in APA?

Answer

To cite a case study in APA:

  • Cite where you found the case study (article, journal, website, etc.)
  • Visit the APA Help page for examples.
  • Click on References & In-Text Citation Examples.
  • There is not a special APA style for citing a case study beyond where you found it.

Example:

Article: Scholarly/Peer-reviewed Journal

Han, J., & Shen, Y. (2015). Financial development and total factor productivity growth: Case study from China. Emerging Markets Finance & Trade, 51, S261-S274. Retrieved from Business Source Complete database.

In-text:

Paraphrase: (Han & Shen, 2015). Quotation: (Han & Shen, 2015, p. S271)
