What is an annotated bibliography? How do you prepare and format it?
Answer
An annotated bibliography shows the source information, followed by a brief description of the source.
This description is usually in two paragraphs:
- first paragraph--a description of the contents of the source (a summary).
- second paragraph--an analysis and evaluation, showing how this will be useful in your research.
Formatting will generally be the APA style for references and paragraphs.
Instructors do have the flexibility to make changes in the formatting requirements.
