Q. How do I cite Wikipedia?
Answer
Thank you for your question on how to cite Wikipedia entries.
If your instructor will accept Wikipedia entries as credible research, (please be aware that many do not accept Wikipedia as a source) then you would treat it as an unsigned, online encyclopedia entry.
Visit Baker College's APA Help guide to see a section for online encyclopedia articles.
As Wikipedia entries do not have official authors, then you would refer to the "unsigned" section. This means that your citation begins with the name of the entry. Date comes next, but if there is not one for the entry, use no date (n.d.). Last, write In Wikipedia and retrieved from website.
Example:
Plagiarism. (n.d.). In Wikipedia. Retrieved from website address.
