Do I include Jr. after the author's name on the References page?

Answer

Here are the directions for including an author's name suffixes:

  • References page: the suffix would be included and would follow the first name initials.
  • In-text citations: Jr. or the III, or other name suffixes are not included with in-text citations.

Examples:

Jones, H. W., Jr., & Jones, H. W., Sr. (2019). Book title. Publisher.

(Jones & Jones, 2019).
