What is the special type of indentation for paragraphs?

Paragraphs use First Line indentation, which is 0.5 inch. (1.27 centimeters)
To apply First Line indentation in Word:
- Highlight the paragraphs to indent.
- On the Home tab, in the Paragraph section, click the arrow in the lower right hand corner.
- In the Indentation section, use the Special drop down menu to select First Line.
