When using APA format, do I punctuate after the citation?
Answer
A period is the proper punctuation at the end of each citation on the References page.
- See examples on the Sample Paper found on the APA Help guide.
- For in-text citations, place a period after the parentheses if the citation is at the end of a sentence.
Example:
Baker College of Muskegon is located at 1903 Marquette Avenue (Jewell, 2019).
