Q. How would I cite song lyrics from a website?
Answer
To cite song lyrics from a website:
- Cite the songwriters as the authors
- Include a date (if there is one) - If there is no date listed, use (n.d.) for no date.
- Include the title of the song in italics
- End with Retrieved from and the website address.
Example:
Author(s). (date). Title of song. Retrieved from ...
Holljes, I.C. & Holljes, E.R. (n.d.) Bottom of the river. Retrieved from http://www.metrolyrics.com/bottom-of-the-river-lyrics-delta-rae.html.
