Q. What user name and password should I use when I attempt to access an article that requires a EBSCO username and password?

If you are using Baker Library Search, occasionally students have trouble accessing the articles from home.

You will need to access the databases a different way.

Work Around:

Start at the Online Resources and select a topic such as General or Health Sciences.

Then select a specific database such as:

Helpful hint:  Use the library number from student ID card or online at my.baker.edu (Login Assistance).

You can search directly in the actual databases from the Online Resources.

  • If you want to use the aggregate search engineBaker Library Search, then having directly accessed an EBSCO database (such as those above), should by-pass the request for a user name and password for EBSCO.
  • If you are looking for a specific article, you can locate the article by its citation in E-Journals A-Z--search the TITLE of the publication and not the title of the article, then accessing the article through the volume and issue number.
